Wrinkles around the Mouth

Lip lines can be a big nuisance and appears whenever you smile or laugh.  To make things worse, they can make it difficult to apply make-up. Why do our lips wrinkle too?? This problem is more prominent in women than in men.  Studies have shown that women have fewer oil producing sebaceous glands around the upper lip than men. On top of that, women also have fewer blood vessels in the upper lip area which means there is less blood flow and this is particularly true of postmenopausal women.  As well, the muscles around the mouth in women are closer to the skin than they are in men, meaning the skin can be pulled tighter there which can lead to more wrinkles. But fear not, as now you can prevent and reduce these ugly lines the affordable way. That is through facial exercise. Here are a few ways to reduce the wrinkles.

1.) Cover your teeth with your lips, and moving your mouth from side to side, as though you were blotting. Do not apply enough pressure to cause pain, but press hard enough so the movement is almost uncomfortable. Repeat for around one minute every day.

2.) Place your thumbs under your upper lip and your index fingers on the outside top of your upper lip. Now try to curl your lip up and use your fingers and thumbs to pull your lip down ... hold this tension for a count to 5. Repeat this step 10 times
